Your first session is a free 60-minute consultation and fitness assessment. The first 10-15 minutes may include a survey of your workout space, discussion about your goals, and body measurements. For the next 15-20 minutes, you will warm up and perform several strength and flexibility assessments. Continue moving through light to moderate full-body exercise for another 15-25 minutes. The last 10-15 minutes is spent on recovery and discussion. Future sessions are also 60 minutes long and follow a similar outline consisting of consultation, warmup, the body of the workout, and recovery.
You will receive nutrition coaching during consultation. Start off with recommendations for meals and recipes based on your food preferences and goals. Depending on your goals, you may be assigned daily targets for total calories and macronutrients –carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Session by session you will learn how to read and understand nutrition labels so you can make the best choices when grocery shopping. You will also learn how to identify healthy choices when going out to eat. Each session will have a different workout that progressively builds off of techniques from previous workouts. You will receive a personalized workout plan every week to practice exercise technique and continue to make progress between sessions. A TRX suspension trainer, agility training equipment, and resistance bands will be provided during your sessions. You may need to get your own equipment depending on your goals and the results of your fitness assessment.

Each lesson is 60 minutes long and begins with 10-15 minutes of warmup that takes you through a progression of body isolations, basic footwork, and dynamic stretching.
You will learn a combination of movements that may include choreography and freestyle. Drill the combo to counts, and then music, to practice timing and develop muscle memory. Progressively add more moves to the combo for the next 30-40 minutes. The last 10-15 minutes is spent rehearsing the movement sequence with a focus on connecting to the music and self-expression. Future lessons may continue developing choreography from previous lessons or contain completely new content.
Salsa/East Coast Swing/Lindy Hop:
You will learn several combinations of movements that may include solo and partner techniques. Solo techniques combine variations of basic footwork and freestyle. Partner techniques are driven by a connection between the lead and follow, and maintained with timing. First learn the footwork for your role –lead or follow, and then practice with a partner. Drill each combo to counts, and then music, for the next 30-40 minutes. The combinations may be sequenced into choreography, or you may practice combining them on your own. The last 10-15 minutes is spent rehearsing with a focus on connecting to the music, connecting to your partner, and self-expression. Future lessons will progressively build off of techniques from previous lessons.
Your initial meeting is a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your vision for the dance, learn how to count to the beat of a song, and start developing a connection with your partner through contact. Dance is a form of self-expression and communication, so in addition to learning new moves to show off on your wedding day, you will discover a new way to connect to your partner! Your dance may include solo and partner techniques, and incorporate the styles of Hip Hop, Salsa, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Contemporary. Each lesson is 60 minutes long and begins with 10-15 minutes of warmup. After your first lesson, the warmup will be followed by 10-15 minutes of review to clean up and answer any questions about the choreography from previous lessons. Learn and drill choreography section by section to counts, and then music, for the next 20-30 minutes. The last 10-15 minutes is spent rehearsing and recording video to reference when you practice.
